Victoria Theatre is one of Singapore's oldest performance venues, next to Victoria Concert Hall at the Civic District on the Singapore River. It's an intimate theatre, so you're closer to the stage than at most concert venues.

Address: 9 Empress Place, Singapore 179556.

Getting there

  • City Hall MRT (NS25/EW13): about a 10-minute walk.
  • Raffles Place MRT (NS26/EW14): also about a 10-minute walk, across the river.
  • Buses: stops nearby include Supreme Court (02181: 195, 961, 961C), Opposite The Treasury (04249), High St Ctr (04229), Esplanade Drive after Esplanade MRT Exit D (02029) and Fullerton Square (03011), which has the widest choice of services.
  • Parking: the venue has no public parking. The nearest paid car parks include Parliament House and The Adelphi.

The walk from either MRT station is pleasant on a dry evening along the river. If it's raining, City Hall lets you stay under cover for more of the way.

Before the show

  • Photos and video: Victoria Theatre's operator doesn't publish a general photo policy online. Theatres like this usually don't allow recording unless the organiser says so. Check your event page, and ask at the information counter (Level 1) if you're unsure.
  • House rules (food, latecomers) vary by event. The venue team can be reached on 6908 8810 or 6908 8814, or venues@artshouse.sg.
  • Facilities: a nursing room is on Basement 1, and the venue publishes a wheelchair-access floor plan.

More general advice is in our Singapore concert guide.
