Capitol Theatre is a restored 1930s theatre inside Capitol Singapore, right in the Civic District. It's one of the easiest concert venues in Singapore to reach by MRT.

Address: Capitol Singapore, 13 Stamford Road, Singapore 178905.

Getting there

  • City Hall MRT (North-South and East-West lines): take Exit D. It's about a 1-minute walk.
  • Buses:
    • Stamford Road, stop 04111: 7, 14, 16, 36, 77, 106, 111, 128, 131, 162, 162M, 167, 171, 175, 700, 700A, 857.
    • North Bridge Road, stop 04167: 61, 124, 145, 166, 174, 197.
  • Driving: the car park entrance is on Coleman Lane, off North Bridge Road. Visitor parking is on basements 3, 5 and 6. On weekday evenings (from 6 pm) parking is a flat S$3.45 per entry; weekend and daytime rates differ, so check the official page.

Before the show

  • Photos and video: Capitol Theatre doesn't publish a general photo policy online that we could find. Like most theatres, many shows here don't allow recording unless the organiser says so. Check your event page and listen for the announcement.
  • Food: there are plenty of places to eat in Capitol Singapore and around City Hall before the show.

After the show

City Hall MRT is a minute away and is an interchange for two major lines, so getting home is easy. If the station is crowded, Raffles City and the underground links around City Hall give you somewhere comfortable to wait for the rush to pass.

More general advice is in our Singapore concert guide.
