Pick the S26 Ultra if…
- You want to zoom in and out a lot. Real lenses at 3x and 5x, plus a clean 10x, mean you can jump from the whole stage to one member's face without losing much quality.
- You're very far back. Its zoom range goes further, and 10x from the upper tiers fills the frame.
- You want quick fixes after the show. Galaxy AI's Audio Eraser can turn down crowd noise and the person singing next to you.
- You already use a Samsung, so the camera app feels familiar.
Pick the X300 Ultra if…
- You care most about close-up quality. Its 85 mm telephoto uses a big 200 MP sensor, which gathers a lot of light and stays detailed in dark arenas.
- You want great results without fiddling. The camera has a built-in Stage mode made for concerts.
- You want the steadiest zoomed video. vivo rates the telephoto's stabilisation as gimbal-grade.
- You edit your videos. 4K 120 fps and 10-bit Log on every camera give editors the most to work with.
- You'll be out all day. The 6,600 mAh battery is noticeably bigger.
The honest answer
For most concerts, either phone will get you far better footage than a regular phone, and both cost the same to rent. If you're in the upper tiers of a stadium and want to zoom right in, lean towards the S26 Ultra. If you're in a theatre or the lower tiers and want the cleanest close-ups, lean towards the X300 Ultra. And if one is already booked on your date, take the other with confidence.
