The Singapore Indoor Stadium sits next to the National Stadium at The Kallang and hosts many of the city's arena tours. It's smaller and easier than the big stadium, but the same MRT station serves both, so knowing your way out still pays off.

Getting there

  • Stadium MRT (CC6, Circle Line) is the nearest station.
  • Kallang MRT (EW10, East-West Line) is a longer walk along a sheltered walkway.
  • Bus 11 stops at "Stadium Stn / opp Singapore Indoor Stadium" (stop 80199), right by the venue. Other services, including 10, 14, 16, 70 and 196, stop along Nicoll Highway.

If there's a big event at the National Stadium on the same night, expect Stadium MRT to be much busier than usual.

What you can bring

From the official Conditions of Entry for the Indoor Stadium:

  • Bags no larger than 35 × 20 × 30 cm.
  • No outside food or drinks, including bottled water. Empty plastic bottles are allowed, unless your event bans them.
  • Umbrellas are allowed but not to be opened inside.
  • Not allowed: tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, glass, cans, laser pointers, noise makers, fan boards larger than A3 and lightsticks longer than 40 cm (unless pre-approved), drones.
  • Re-entry is restricted; check your event page.
Rent one for your concert

Rent a top zoom camera phone from S$60. Collect it the day before in Hougang.

Filming

The Indoor Stadium doesn't permit video cameras, audio recorders, or professional cameras with telephoto or zoom lenses. Event pages often add GoPros, iPads and tablets. Phones are usually fine, unless the promoter bans recording for that show, so read your event page. Recordings are for private, non-commercial use only.

Leaving quickly

Fan and local-guide tips, not venue rules:

  • Head for Stadium MRT Exit B, not Exit A. After shows, staff often hold the crowd outside Exit A and let people in gradually, which can take 15 to 30 minutes. One writer walked to Exit B (towards Stadium Boulevard) and got straight in after an Indoor Stadium show.
  • Leave just before the final encore, or wait 15 to 20 minutes after the end for the crowd to clear.
  • Book rides a little away from the main exit, where drivers can reach you on quieter roads.
  • Kallang MRT on the East-West Line is a good alternative if you're heading east or west rather than along the Circle Line.

Before you go

  • Have your e-ticket ready on your phone, brightness up.
  • Charge your phone, or bring a power bank.

More general advice is in our Singapore concert guide, and if the National Stadium is your venue, see the National Stadium guide.
